Fridays For Future – Rimini promuvove l’Assemblea pubblica verso il Climate Strike

“Abbiamo certamente bisogno di speranza. Ma l’unica cosa di cui abbiamo bisogno più della speranza è l’azione. Una volta che iniziamo ad agire, la speranza si diffonde. Quindi, invece di cercare la speranza, cerchiamo l’azione. Allora e solo allora, la speranza arriverà.”
Queste sono le parole di Greta Thunberg, ragazza svedese di 16 anni, che ha deciso di scioperare dalla scuola ogni venerdì. Da agosto 2018, manifesta davanti al Parlamento svedese per chiedere al suo governo un impegno reale per contrastare l’emergenza climatica, nel rispetto degli accordi di Parigi della Cop21, al fine di mantenere l’aumento della temperatura media sotto gli 1,5 gradi.
Dopo l’intervento di Greta alla COP24, migliaia di persone hanno risposto ad un suo video appello, dando cosi vita ad una mobilitazione globale spontanea.
Il 15 marzo anche a Rimini vogliamo organizzarci in vista dello “Sciopero Globale per il Clima” o “Climate strike’’ per far sentire la nostra voce anche da questa città!
Gli studenti universitari insieme con alcuni migranti residenti a Rimini e alcuni studenti delle scuole superiori nel territorio, hanno già iniziato, nelle scorse settimane, a mobilitarsi per il #FridayForFuture.
Crediamo però che la data di mobilitazione del 15 debba essere ampia e partecipata invitiamo quindi tutt* i/le cittadine, le associazioni, le organizzazioni politiche e sociali all’assemblea pubblica che si terrà martedì 5 marzo alle ore 21 a Casa Madiba Network per confrontarsi e a costruire insieme questo sciopero.
Sciopera anche tu il 15 marzo, per il futuro del nostro pianeta!
You say you love your children above all else, and yet you are stealing their future in front of their very eyes. Until you start focusing on what needs to be done rather than what is politically possible, there is no hope. We cannot solve a crisis without treating it as a crisis. We need to keep the fossil fuels in the ground, and we need to focus on equity.
And if solutions within the system are so impossible to find, maybe we should change the system itself.

This are the words of Greta Thunberg, a Swedish girl that decided to fight Climate Change and to make it visible she is striking very Friday. Since august 2018 Swedish people are manifesting in front of the parliament, demanding real action from their government in the fight against climate change.
After her speech in Davos where she demanded a drastic action form political leaders from all around the world, thousands of people reacted to her ideo and global movement developed. Greta’s initiative is best known as FridaysForFuture
There will be a huge climate strike globally on March 15, 2019. Use the #FridaysForFuture hashtag go get involved. We in Rimini want to participate to raise our voices in this fight against climate change.
Students, scholars and refuges together from Rimini already started mobilization and awareness raising with different actions weeks ago to contribute to the Climate March on the 15th of March.
We invite all associations and citizens to attend the assembly on the 5th of March to discuss what we can do together to make the strike as visible as possible!
